9 players from Jhajjar district are also in the race for medals in the ongoing Asian Games 2023 in China. Out of 89 players of Haryana, 9 are from Jhajjar district alone. 4 wrestlers from Jhajjar district, which is known as the land of wrestlers, are ready to win gold medal in the Asian Games.

District Jhajjar :
World champion wrestler Deepak Punia, Olympian Bajrang Punia, world champion Aman Sehrawat and Vikas Kumar from Chhara village of Jhajjar district are sure contenders for the gold medal. The whole country has expectations from him.
Coach Virendra Said :
Bajrang and Deepak Pehalwan had started preparations for wrestling from Lala Diwanchand Akhara in Chhara village. Virendra, the coach of both the wrestlers, has told both the wrestlers to give their all. Do not lack in efforts, then the color of the medal will definitely become gold. He said that the sentiments of the entire country and the blessings of God are with all the players.
Medal Hopes In Asian Games
Palak Gulia along with Manu Bhakar, the pride of the country in shooting along with wrestlers from Jhajjar district, Ritu Rani in football, Sumit Nagal in lawn tennis and Amit Kumar in basketball are part of the Indian team in the Asian Games. District Sports Officer Lalita said that Jhajjar district has always been ahead in sports and the players here have brought glory to the country on the world stage. He expressed hope that 9 players from the district will return only after winning medals. District Deputy Commissioner Shakti Singh has also congratulated all the players.
