Sadhu Dubey, resident of Lehra Tola of Fatehpur Gram Panchayat of Deoria, sold his 10 bigha land to former District Panchayat member Premchand Yadav, resident of another tola of the village, and used to live in his house. Sadhu’s brother Satya Prakash Dubey was opposing this. There was a dispute going on regarding the same for a long time, but due to the domineering nature of Premchand Yadav, Satya Prakash Dubey was subdued.

After finding Satya Prakash and one member each of his family hiding in the house, they killed five people with sharp-edged weapons.
